How to change power setting in Windows 8

This tutorial helps you to learn on how to make the required changes in power button settings, choose the power options you want for your computer. Below gives are the guidelines and step by step procedure, on how you can make power option settings and save them on your PC. Using these settings manages power usage by your PC, applying this can minimize the power consumption. Steps to change power options in Windows 8:

 First click on START and select Search in metro screen as shown below.

 Now select settings which you see on the right side of the screen, and type ‘power options’ in the search box, now that you can find power options tab on the left side, click on it to open the Device Manager screen.
 Here click on ‘choose what power button does’ as shown in the tab below.
 This screen displays the various settings you can opt for your PC, click to get the list of drop down menu and select the one which is suitable for when you press the power button either on the keyboard or in the CPU.

 Make sure to click on save changes, after you choose a time period from the list.
